My Journey with Brain Cancer
As a healthy, active 43-year-old my world was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with brain cancer: glioblastoma multiforme – the same cancer Lecretia Seales and Brittany Maynard had.
I was told I had 12 to 14 months to live.
During the past six years, (that’s not a mistake – it’s now been over six years!) I’ve faced many significant challenges. I’ve learnt that I can live my life without feeling afraid, pressured, or worthless.
There’s no denying that life is not the same as before, but I’ve discovered that with acceptance and understanding it can still be a life worth living.
I look forward to sharing more about my journey with you.
